PUBLISHING SERVICES
Drawing on my in-house/freelance experience and contacts, I offer the following:

• Commissioning/development
Creating new projects within the arts, I often work directly with artists, dealers and/or estates. I source authors, editors, designers, photographers etc. from a wide range of expert contacts. I also provide script development services for authors and publishers
Editorial project management
Alongside editorial and design-related tasks, this often includes budget control, scheduling and team management
Copy-editing and proofreading
I work on-screen (and do hardcopy checks)

• Picture research
With an in-depth knowledge of many collections, I am very experienced
in tracking permissions and negotiating fees

• Production project management
Having built up a strong editorial CV, in 2006 I became Head of Editorial and Production at Lund Humphries. This included hands-on production of fine art publications. Acquiring this new skill-set enabled me to offer freelance production services – such as hi-res proof correction and print buying. I have strong links with repro houses and printers in the UK and Europe, as well as further afield, e.g. China and Singapore. I have also managed limited editions (e.g. slipcased edition comprising artist's monograph + limited edition print; working with high-end print studios).
• Writing
Some projects require extensive rewriting (working closely with the author and keeping their voice). I'm also an author in my own right, with published work including magazine articles and three books.

    ACTING / VOICEOVER WORK

One reason for launching my freelance publishing career was to give myself the flexibility to train as an actor.
I trained at LSDA (London School of Dramatic Art), and have become an experienced stage + screen actor, and
voiceover artist. Every aspect of my working life is therefore about communication – making meaning clear,
conveying ideas in accessible ways, reaching diverse audiences.
